PUBLIC ENTRY (oooohh ahhhhh)

 Ok, Im watching Family Guy....
And I think Lois and Peter are deciding if Lois should get her tubes tied OR if Peter should get a vasectomy.

And it got me thinking....
if a couple decides that they dont want children anymore, why decide WHO should get it done? 
Wouldnt make sence if BOTH parties got "fixed"?

Operations cost money... why spend the money on BOTH when only one is really needed?

I mean.... what if something were to happen and the couple broke up?
its not fair that one of them can move on and have children and the other cannot.
I think it should be a sacrifice they're both willing to make.

Well I think in theory (and I stress THEORY) people aren't supposed to go through with having such surgery unless they're sure they NEVER want to have children. Also, even if both go through with it it's not fair because the female version can be reversed, while the male version cannot.

Hmmm... ok. Guess I was wrong. For some reason I always thought one was reversible and one was not. Well I agree to a point in that I don't think "the guy has to always get the condoms" and stuff like that, but with the whole surgery thing I don't think both should have to. That's just me though. Maybe part of my opinion is because I honestly don't think I'd EVER get my tubes tide.
